My Mother's Journey is a 60 minute documentary on the life of community activist, Elizabeth Hampton. The documentary that is directed by her son, Dr. Sam Hampton, chronicles her school grade experiences in the South, her marriage and children, her marital breakup and life as a single parent, the Rochester riots and her civic engagement efforts, and her later community including founding a big brother-big/sister type program where whites and blacks came together to steward Rochester youth and promote a spirit of community. work before she died suddenly following surgery at 62.
