Expecting A Baby?

Are you expecting a baby in these hard economic times and dreading the cost? Fear no more. Sociable Susan is here to the rescue. Below are some tips to help you make wise decisions.

1. Keep it simple. Don’t overdo or over buy things you probably won’t use.

2. Don't buy gadgets you probably won’t use.

3. Don't buy too many clothes. You’ll get many as gifts and they quickly outgrow them. You shouldn’t spend more than $100 on clothes. Most of the clothes should be one piece ones they can sleep comfortably in.

4. Babies don’t need shoes so don't buy them.

 Essential items you need:

1. A crib that changes to toddler bed

2. An infant car seat or a convertible car seat that "grows" with your child.

3. Buy a stroller that is based on your lifestyle. For example, if you jog while pushing, get one that can endure the stress such as rugged all weather terrain ones.

4. Use cloth diapers because they are the best for your child and the environment. You will use about 12 a day or 80 a week. You can have a cleaning service wash them for you.
