African Contestants In The 2010 Miss World Competition
The 2010 Miss World competition was recently held on October 30th 2010 in Sanya, China. Out of the one hundred and twenty participants, the American contestant, Alexandria Mills took home the crown. Congratulations to all the contestants who did their countries proud !!!
However, I would like to congratulate, the first runner up, Miss Emma Wareus of Botswana and all the queens from Africa. Whether you are light or dark skinned, curly or coarse haired, sporting an afro or a weave, each and every one of you has done Africa proud.
Your black is beautiful and you are dark and lovely. Always remember the words of Nigerian Recording Artist, which says, "You are my African Queen, girl of my dreams. You take me where I’ve never been, you make my heart go tingalingaling." Below are pictures from the event.

Happy Halloween 2010!
Trick or Treat? Wow, it’s that time of year again. Every where is a scary place as witches, ghouls, ghosts and goblins come out to play. It's freaky and downright terrifying. However, look on the bright side, there are plenty of great costumes and candy that makes Halloween fun.
Enjoy the pictures of trick or treater's taken at Arundel Mills Mall!
PS: Enjoy the candy, but don’t forget to care for your teeth by brushing, flossing and rinsing with mouthwash, so you don’t damage your teeth and have to visit the dentist. Now that is more terrifying than Halloween.

Back To The Future is 25 years old!
Can you believe the movie, Back To The Future is 25 years old already? Time does fly by, doesn’t it? This got me thinking, if I had the chance to revisit my past, when and where would I want to go back to?
However, after much thought, I don’t think I would want to go back and relive my past. What do you think? Would you want to go back and relive a part of your past? Or do you believe in our lives being pre-written even before our existence?
Anyway, knowing that we can’t turn back time, it’s always better to be happy where we are because in reality we can’t relive even yesterday let alone an earlier time. All our past mistakes and miss-adventures have made us the unique individuals we are.
However, I do believe in destiny. The cast of the movie including Michael J Fox spoke were on TV earlier today and made me even believe more. He talked about his role in the movie, and I was surprised when he said that when he was approached about playing the role of Marty Mcfly he couldn’t accept it because he was already acting in Family Ties at the time, and couldn’t get time off to do the movie.
Another actor was cast to play the role of Marty Mcfly, and the movie began filming. 5 weeks into the filming, the film crew found that things weren’t working out with the actor and he was sent packing.
Michael Fox was approached again, but this time the film crew was willing to film at night and on the days he could get time off from Family Ties. They even had to rush the production because they had only a short amount of time before the film’s release date. However, they got it done and the rest is now history.
Talk about a divine appointment. After hearing that and many other things I’ve seen in life, I do believe that what is divinely yours will come to you, even if it doesn’t seem that way initially.
Have a great week!

The Masterpiece
You are a highly accomplished artist, creating the ongoing masterpiece of your life. It is a singularly unique work of art that comes to life more richly and more fully in your every moment.
The masterpiece of your life is not the same as any other, and that is what gives it much of its beauty. It is a living, breathing, feeling work of art that is a distinctive and irreplaceable expression of wonder and joy.
As you feel the remarkable reality of yourself, always remember that you transcend every label that could ever be placed on you.
Though there are many ways you have been, there are countless other ways that you can yet be.
You are not old or young, not wealthy or poor, not healthy or ill, for those are all merely outward states that you may choose to experience.
In fact, you are life itself, and every experience adds to the value and richness.
Just as the darker areas of a painting and the lighter areas play off each other, so too do the varieties of your experience all add to the masterpiece of your life. With each new day, the masterpiece becomes more magnificent.
In this moment, work your art well, letting it flow from your authentic heart.
Give your spirit cause to soar, and forever capture the unique beauty of now within the masterpiece that is your life.

Stronger Than Doubt
Your doubts may feel strong and compelling, yet you are much stronger.
After all, you have the ability to take action.
Your doubts require a certain specific scenario in order to make any sense.
You, however, can work your way to a whole new scenario in which those old doubts will have no validity.
Every action you take is a triumph over your doubts.
Start small if you must, build up to bigger, more consequential actions, and those doubts will surely and steadily fade away.
Your doubts get all of their energy from you.
And you don't ever have to give them any more of it.
Instead, put your energy into positive, effective action.
Put your energy into dreaming big, wonderful, meaningful dreams, then step forward and act to give those dreams life.
Even the biggest doubts are no match for the power of your passion.
Put that passion into action, and leave your doubts behind.

RWANDAN FAIR TRADE BASKETS ROAD SHOW AT COSTCO
Why buy Fair Trade products from around the world? The reason is to help eliminate world poverty. Fair trade promotes fair wages, fair working conditions, environmentally sustainable actions and socially responsible practices.
Rwandan Fair Trade baskets are available for sale at some Costco stores that are participating in the road show. These lovely baskets are hand woven by Rwandan women to provide them with a source of sustainable income.
Not only are the baskets beautiful, they support a cause far greater than their beauty. The income from the sales of these baskets can mean so much to these women and their children and villages. The money helps them get clean water, nutritious food, medicine, education and more.
The company, Rwanda Baskets, works directly with the weavers in Rwanda to return the highest profit to these impoverished women. These hand woven baskets also helps to provide a livelihood for female survivors of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda.
Please help these women earn a living from their art, which sometimes is the most unique and marketable skill they posses. To support the cause, please contact your local Costco to see when the tour will be in your area.
