Hollywood heart throb, Dermot Melroney was on the Wendy Show today. The Alexandria, VA native who has been a leading Hollywood man for over 20 years was wearing a very nice outfit/ensemble.
He is in the number one movie in the country with Liam Neilson titled The Grey and has another one coming out today titled Big Miracle, which is based on a true story of a family of whales trapped under ice in the sea in 1988. People come to lead them out because journalist caught footage of them coming out breathe but it was challenging. This unfortunate incident occurred because the sea froze over early, so they didn’t have a chance to migrate. He said they had to leave some things out of the movie, because they seemed so unbelievable, but they actually did happen.
In The Grey, Dermot is seen sporting gray hair, so when asked about the real color of his hair, he said, “I’ll wear my hair however they want me to.” He then said, “I dodged that pretty good.” It was obvious that he was trying to evade the question, but then conceded and said that it looks like it does in the movie, The Grey, but he has a full head of hair his wife loves, which is what matters. I don’t blame the guy. You know how fickle Hollywood can be. They can see him with gray hair and stop giving him nice roles because they think he has one leg in the grave already. I tell ya, Hollywood!?!?
He also shared that he worked with Julia Roberts in My Best Friend’s Wedding and said they still see each other and their kids hang out together. He is father to 12 year old Clyde and two little girls who are 3 and 2 years old. When asked about discussing the birds and the bees with his kids, he said, I trust Clyde and I talked to him when he was at about 4 years old. He also said, “The other boys will fill him in.”
When asked about Sarah Jessica Parker, he said, “She is the best.” He knows her because he worked with her in The Family Stone. He has also worked with Jennifer Aniston on several episodes of Friends, where played her romantic interest. He said he was invited to her wedding to Brad Pitt, which he attended. Big Miracle opens today. Support Dermot, who is from my DMV metro area and go out and see the movie.
