A Panel Discussion with other Iron Butterflies

Author's introduction to the panel discussion

Author, Dr. Birute Regine, Legal Luminary, Judge Maria Lopez & Entrepreneur, Deborah Rosado Shaw

Critically acclaimed author Dr. Birute Regine who earned her master’s and doctorate in human development at Harvard University, and was a visiting scholar at The Center for Research on Women at Wellesley College discussed her latest book Iron Butterflies: Women Transforming Themselves and the World with special guests Judge Maria Lopez, the first Latina appointed to the bench in Massachusetts and former television jurist on the syndicated television show Judge Maria Lopez, and Deborah Rosado Shaw, award-winning entrepreneur and advisor to Fortune 500 CEOs and named “Hispanic Businesswoman of the Year” by the National Hispanic Business Group.

Dr. Regine profiled 60 women from around the world in Iron Butterflies: Women Transforming Themselves and the World. The lecture and open discussion focussed on the powerful leadership transition currently taking place in our society, a transition led increasingly by women, largely under the radar.

They shared firsthand about how empathy, emotion, strength and acceptance of vulnerability are changing traditional management models.

The Three Iron Butterflies

The event was truly inspiring. I appreciate these Iron Butterflies who took time out of their busy schedules to share their message of self love, self acceptance, self confidence, hardwork and hope with all the event attendees. I hope more Iron Butterflies are being created all over the world.
