Anne Geddes

Thank God it’s Friday (TGIF) and this is the perfect time for me to introduce you to Anne Geddes, an Australian-born photographer, clothing designer and businesswoman who is known for her stylized depictions of babies and motherhood. Typical images show babies or young children dressed as fairies and fairytale creatures, flowers, or small animals. She has described herself as "a baby freak, which is a great thing to be, but she is more than that. Her imagination that is translated through her images are unparalleled.

Her books with astonishing images, which make me think deeply about creation and life, have been published in 83 countries and she has sold more than 18 million books and 13 million calendars. Her books have been translated into 23 different languages.

As good as her images are, it's almost unbelievable that she is self-taught. This leads me to believe that everything you need to be the best you, is innate in you.

For more information about her or to purchase her books which make great gifts for any occasion, please visit her website at http://www.annegeddes.com/

Enjoy these images from her collection and have a fabulous Friday!
