HCC Celebrates Andrew Miecznikoski's Unstoppable Spirit

Andrew Miecznikoski

Unstoppable is the best word to describe Andrew Miecznikoski, a recent graduate of Howard Community College who plans to have a career in recreational therapy. This is a young man who has not let his health circumstances stop him or derail his dreams.

We all know when Dr. Ben Carson is called on to perform surgery, it isn’t an easy operation any surgeon can readily perform and Dr. Carson has played a significant role in his health by operating on him twice, but not withstanding Andrew forges ahead with his life and dreams.

Andrew received an award for his spirit of excellence from Howard Community College because in addition to recently completing his degree program, he has also volunteered 1500 hours of service at local hospitals including Howard County General Hospital, John's Hopkin's Hospital and the Kennedy Krieger Institute. This is a man who appreciates the care he received and has returned the favor by providing care for others.

Congratulations Andrew. You are a shining example of courage and paying it forward. Here's Sociable Susan Magazine wishing you the very best of health and luck in your future endeavors.
