Beauty is Pain, Here We Go Again.....

Many young ladies have grown up embracing the saying, "Beauty is pain." However, in nature, if anything is painful, it is the body's way of telling you to stop doing whatever you are doing. From the hair on our heads to the soles of our feet, there are plethoras of ways we ladies ignore our bodies' pain signals all in the name of looking "good or sexy" to our own detriment.

Today, I will address tight constricting clothing, which can cut off the body's blood circulation. Unfortunately this type of clothing is more often than not the urban dress code for females, so they can be sexy, enticing and provocative to men. It's so bad that some ladies' ribs and underwear lines are clearly visible through their clothing. Aside from such clothing attracting attention from the "wrong" kind of men, there's a more serious side to the issue. So ladies, please listen up, skinny jeans and other really tight clothing and undergarments like Spanx may make you look "good" on the outside, but your body really doesn't appreciate them. You know that yourself by how uncomfortable you feel when you wear them.

I know, I know, you don't mind being uncomfortable to look "good", or to look "hot" or "sexy" for guys, but guess what? medically your body doesn't like them either, so much so that wearing tight clothing can lead to your ill health. Why? How? you may ask, but the truth is, while you may be okay with being uncomfortable with wearing tight ill-fitted clothing or even with your unsightly muffin top above your too tight clothing, overly tight clothing may compress your nerves and groin area. This may lead to aggravated acid reflux, limb numbness, vaginal infections and blood clots.

You may say, "Well, if that's the price I have to pay, so be it, but guess what? If you ignore these issues they will only get worse. Even if you address the situation by visiting a hospital, the first thing you will be required to do is to stop wearing these types of clothing and even then the conditions still takes time to go away. Also, note that even if you're okay with vaginal infections, if they are left untreated they can lead to infertility, and if blood clots aren't treated, they can lead to strokes.

So the question to ask yourself is, is this really worth the discomfort and health implications? Ladies, love yourself and your body. Don't sacrifice your health or comfort to look "good" for guys you want to impress. If you become ill because of this, the men you are trying to impress will move on to the next pretty face while you are in the hospital. You don't see them wearing overly tight clothing to impress you, so why should you? If anything men love themselves and wear oversized and loose clothes they are extra comfortable in.

So ladies, remember prevention is better than cure. Love yourself and your body. Wear loose, comfortable or fitted clothes and you will be just fine.

A word is enough for the wise...
