These lovely baskets are hand woven by Rwandan women to provide them with a source of sustainable income.
Not only are the baskets beautiful, they support a cause far greater than their beauty. The income from the sales of these baskets can mean so much to these women and their children and villages. The money helps them get clean water, nutritious food, medicine, education and more.
The company, Rwanda Baskets, works directly with the weavers in Rwanda to return the highest profit to these impoverished women. These hand woven baskets also helps to provide a livelihood for female survivors of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda.
