ONLY A FEW DAYS LEFT BEFORE SUBMISSIONS FOR THE 43RD NAACP IMAGE AWARDS CLOSE ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2011

"What Happens in Submissions, Wont Stay in Submissions" Social Media Outreach Helps Entrants Garner Additional Awareness

November 23, 2011 -- Only a few days remains before the November 30, 2011 deadline for submissions for the 43rd NAACP Image Awards. Anyone intending to submit a piece of work for consideration in any one of the 53 categories is strongly encouraged to do so online at
http://www.naacpimageawards.net.

By submitting online this year's entrants enjoy a notable reduction in the time required to complete the entire process, including the ability to disburse payment online by either credit card or online check and instant confirmation and summary of submission(s) sent via email. Online entry also allows those travelling to conveniently access the site from any web-enabled device to complete their submission(s) and meet the November 30th deadline.

Due to the extreme excitement about all of the exceptional entries, the 43rd NAACP Image Awards initiated the "What Happens In Submissions, Won't Stay In Submissions" outreach to help bolster awareness about this year's potential contenders by encouraging entrants to generate awareness about their projects through all creative means available to them. "This year, through the use of social media, entrants have garnered a notable amount of awareness for their projects via NAACP Image Awards social media platforms --- the level of Twitter and Facebook activity has been remarkable" said Vic Bulluck, Executive Director of the NAACP Hollywood Bureau.

NAACP Image Awards Nominating Committee Members, NAACP Members and anyone else interested in more information about submitted project can view entrants' posts on Facebook at
